You get to answer questions like, “how would 1978 Pittsburgh and its ‘Steel Curtain’ defense fare against Aaron Rodgers and the high octane attack of the 2010 Green Bay Packers?” or “Could ‘Broadway’ Joe Namath of the ’68 Jets deliver on his ‘guarantee’ of a win against ‘Da Bears’ of 1985?”

One can ask these kinds of questions in any sport…and through the magic of board games, computer simulations and console games, one can answer them, if only in an abstract sort of way! I guess the various hot stove leagues aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
So welcome to the first installment of: The Greatest Seasons Never Played. I’ll be using various games to create dream seasons in various sports and posting results here in addition to my various other ramblings about all things sports related.
To be fair, I’m not the only one to do a project like this…any where you have sports fans rolling dice or mashing the keys on keyboards, you’ll find these kinds of dream seasons.
